You will notice from the previous post that John Murray’s second wife was mentioned as “Miss Lizzie Nelson”.  Her great-granddaughter was my great-grandmother, Elizabeth Nelson Nelson Frierson.  I had always wondered how my Dad’s grandmother happened to be named Elizabeth Nelson Nelson?  But now the answer is clear (“as mud” some might say!) – she had the Nelson family genes from both her father and mother.  She was named for her maternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Nelson Murray (“Miss Lizzie Nelson” in the previous post), whose brother (Samuel Edgar Nelson) was her paternal grandfather!  So Elizabeth Nelson Nelson Frierson’s parents (James McCauley Nelson and Sarah Robinson Murray) were first cousins, once removed!  Now that we’ve cleared that up… here’s a pedigree chart of Elizabeth Nelson Nelson Frierson –
